Gallery 13 is proud to introduce ‘Calligraphic art’ by Denis Brown.
Brown’s work stems from ancient Celtic traditions of manuscript writing. He creates innovative ‘wordscapes’ on glass. Each work is a three dimensional mass of writing engraved on multiple layers of glass. Text becomes ‘texture’ and each piece has a deep and elemental quality almost like a ‘visual mantra’.
